Louis Vuitton is an iconic French brand responsible for the production of leather trunks, handbags, shoes, clothes, books, jewellery and other luxury items. Founded in 1854 by Louis Vuitton, the products of this brand, including the LV monogram, are constantly copied illegally. The article «Louis Vuitton: the Power of a Brand against Counterfeiting and Knockoffs» from a legal perspective, aims to spread a message against counterfeiting and design piracy and, as a consequence, analyse court decisions in which intellectual property rights from the brand are or should be recognised.
